Pomer is a tourist town situated near Pula. It was founded by the powerful Roman family Aranum and its original name was Pomerium. The family built luxurious thermal spas, extravagant villas and oil and wine making facilities. Once a seashell farm, Pomer is now known to all seafarers for its large marina and camp (located near a pebble beach). The village’s main attraction is the sea.
Pomer, a small place in Istria situated 5 miles southeast from the tourist center Pula. It was in the past a mussel farm, today is famed for its marina, which provides 250 berths and 50 boat places on land, together with all necessary facilities. Not far from the marina, at the very seaside stretches the newly renovated campsite. In summer folk festivals are organized, as well as chamber music concerts held in churches .This small fishing town has preserved its peace and quiet until today.
