Zaštićeni krajolik Labin – Rabac – Prklog, Labin, Istria

Natural phenomena: The area between Labin and Rabac bay Prklog is characterized by richness and variety of valuable properties. Coastal zone is characterized by picturesque coves in Rabac and bays in Prklog. Both are sequels stream valleys that begin on Labin plateau and flow through varied series of layers. In places where they are limestones (eg the road for Rabac), there are interesting geomorphological canyon forms.  

The vegetation of the area is also highly significant. This especially applies to the coastal strip between Rabac Bay and Cape St. George. Few places along our coast we can find such a beautiful and rich oaks (Quercus ilex) as here, and they are supplemented by considerable areas of pine forest and grassland areas. In the coastal area (cape St. Marina) we find rare and interesting plant communities (Narcisse Asphodeletum microcarpa). In canyons we can find some endangered plant species (Adiantum capillus-veneris).
